Our Founder

Maria C. Rodriguez, founder of Amazing Helpers, brings a lifetime of dedication, resilience, and service to the community. As the eldest of nine children in an immigrant family from Montemaranos, Nuevo León, Maria overcame early hardships—working in Texas and northern fields while prioritizing education. She earned her university degree with honors and spent 36 years in public education, rising from teacher to assistant superintendent.

After retiring, Maria continued her mission by launching state-licensed services that now support over 1,000 elderly and disabled individuals across South Texas, Houston, Dallas, and Angelina County. Her work has expanded to include medical equipment support and licensed childcare for working parents in need.

Maria’s vision remains strong: to develop affordable housing solutions, including a 55-unit complex for qualifying families and veterans. Her lifelong commitment to equity and compassion fuels the heart of Amazing Helpers.
