Governance & Policies

Amazing Helpers RGV is committed to serving the Rio Grande Valley with compassion, structure, accountability, and care.
As a nonprofit organization, we understand that trust is not created by good intentions alone. Trust is built through responsible governance, clear policies, careful documentation, ethical decision-making, and transparency with the people, donors, funders, volunteers, partners, and communities we serve.
This page is part of our commitment to building Amazing Helpers RGV the right way from the beginning.
Our Governance Commitment
Amazing Helpers RGV is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for helping guide the organization’s mission, oversight, accountability, and long-term direction.
The Board’s role includes supporting responsible decision-making, reviewing organizational priorities, protecting the mission, and helping ensure that AHRGV operates in a manner consistent with nonprofit standards and public trust.
The Executive Director is responsible for helping organize daily operations, administrative systems, community relationships, donor and grant development, reporting, policies, procedures, and implementation of approved organizational priorities.
Together, governance and management are intended to create a strong foundation for responsible service.

The words we use matter.
Amazing Helpers RGV is committed to communicating clearly, carefully, and responsibly with the public. Public communication should reflect the organization’s mission, protect the dignity of the people we serve, and avoid confusion about what AHRGV does and does not provide.
AHRGV is a charitable support organization. It is not a government agency, emergency response service, law office, immigration assistance organization, medical provider, financial institution, or guaranteed source of aid.
When needed, AHRGV may provide information or referral guidance, but it does not provide legal, immigration, medical, financial, or emergency services.
Non-Discrimination
Amazing Helpers RGV is committed to serving with dignity, respect, and fairness.
AHRGV intends to operate without discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, sex, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
All assistance remains subject to available resources, eligibility, documentation, funding restrictions, and organizational policy.
Restricted and Unrestricted Funds
Some donations are unrestricted, meaning they may be used for approved charitable and operational purposes where AHRGV determines they are most needed.
Other donations, grants, or sponsorships may be restricted for a specific approved purpose.
AHRGV is committed to respecting funding restrictions and maintaining appropriate records for how funds are received, classified, used, and reported.
This is an important part of donor trust and nonprofit accountability.
Transparency as We Grow
Amazing Helpers RGV is currently in its launch and infrastructure-building stage.
As policies are approved, updated, and implemented, this page may be expanded to include additional summaries, downloadable documents, public reports, or links to relevant policy areas.
Our goal is to be transparent without exposing private donor, client, financial, personnel, or sensitive organizational information.
Transparency does not mean publishing everything. It means giving the public enough information to understand that AHRGV is being governed, managed, and documented responsibly.
Our Standard
Amazing Helpers RGV is being built with a simple standard:
Serve with compassion. Govern with care. Document with discipline. Communicate with clarity. Protect the trust.
We believe that careful governance and clear policies make compassionate service stronger, not weaker.
They help us serve people who fall through the cracks in a way that is responsible, trustworthy, and sustainable.
